NESREA As Job Creator

As a result of the enforcement programmes of NESREA, industries and businesses are becoming more mindful of their corporate social responsibility and their environmental stewardship. On a good note, Environmental officers are being employed and many experts are being engaged as Environmental consultants. NESREA has also created new and additional jobs with the recruitment of many officers in the junior and senior cadres for the Headquarters, Zonal and State Offices.

These officers have been deployed to man enforcement operations in 6 Zonal Headquarters and 22 State offices. In addition to facilitating the speedy emergence of good environmental governance, the recruitment exercise has also created employment opportunities for Nigerians, thereby reducing social decadence and empowering the people economically. New jobs have also been created by the regulated community including industry and business, both in the areas of manufacturing and services.
