2023 ACCREDITATION AND REGISTRATION OF ENVIRONMENTAL CONSULTANTS

The National Environmental Standards and Regulations Enforcement Agency (NESREA) is an Agency of the Federal Ministry of Environment charged with the responsibility to enforce all environmental laws, guidelines, policies, standards, and regulations in Nigeria; and to prohibit processes and the use of equipment and/or technology that undermine environmental quality. NESREA also has the responsibility to enforce compliance with the provisions of international environmental agreements, protocols, conventions and treaties to which Nigeria is signatory.

  1. The Agency wishes to invite Environmental Consultancy companies/organizations that are duly registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) and Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), have relevant expertise and proven competence in a broad spectrum of environmental issues, who wish to be accredited as consultants in any of the following area(s) of specialization/expertise:
  • Environmental Audit
  • Environmental Management Systems
  • Environmental Studies
  • Environmental Technology
  • Laboratory Services
  • Waste Management
  1. Interested applicants are to log on to the Agency’s website on www.nesrea.gov.ng and proceed to the NESPAM Enrolment Portal to enrol and submit their applications. Each application shall be accompanied by a non-refundable application fee of Thirty Thousand Naira (N30, 000.00) only, to be paid via the Portal. Documents to be uploaded along with the application are as follows:
  2.  Certificate of Incorporation with Corporate Affairs Commission
  3. Memorandum and Article of Association
  • Particulars of Directors of the Company (CAC Form 7/Status Report)
  1. Recent Tax Clearance Certificates of the Company
  2. Evidence of competence in environmental consultancy (Relevant academic and professional certificates)
  3. Evidence of previous environmental jobs successfully completed

vii.     Evidence of registration with other relevant regulatory bodies

  1. Existing NESREA accredited consultants who wish to add areas of specialisation are required to contact the Agency.
  2. Please note that all applications are to be submitted on or before Friday, 28th July 2023.
  3. Applicants will be contacted via e-mail for interview at the Agency’s Headquarters.
